Students will work on-on-one with our Rising Stars students in either the physical education or art elective. Our Rising Stars are students with intellectual disabilities who are paired with a “buddy”. Buddies assist our Rising Stars in meeting the Middle School physical education and/or art standards; i.e. drawing, playing games, etc. and provide support for social and emotional growth through participation in an inclusive classroom. Students must be responsible, self-motivated, and show compassion to students with disabilities. This class meets the requirement for Middle School Physical Education.
